BERGSON Kunstkraftwerk, Munich’s new cultural center of gravity, presents a concert format that musically interprets the beauty, diversity and power of flowers in the unique atmosphere of Rebecca Louise Law’s installation Calyx which is shown as part of the current exhibition “Flowers Forever”.
Four musicians on violin, clarinet, cello and piano play music from Vivaldi, Strauss and Debussy to Britten and the Stones. All these pieces, arranged by Andreas Unterreiner, literally glow and make the cosmos of flowers tangible in many ways: flowers as an explosive force, as an exuberant expression of joy, but also as a mystery, as a mysterious world between dream and reality. The audience can immerse itself in this atmosphere and is literally enveloped by sound, scent, light and the colorfulness of the flowers: a multiple sensual experience.
